Reliable and fast Internet access is becoming an increasingly decisive factor when choosing a place to live or run a business. In July 2015, Deutsche Telekom therefore expanded its broadband network to provide Lahr with a faster internet service.
But the city of Lahr is also thinking beyond expanding telecommunications. Lahr is currently developing a broadband upgrade concept with the aim of ensuring that Lahr has the maximum support possible for the symmetrical expansion of the fibre optic network. In cooperation with the startkLahr Airport & Business Park, it is of key concern to the city of Lahr to drive this fibre optic expansion forwards within Lahr's industrial and business parks.
