EU Services Directive

The European Union has taken steps to make it easier to do business in Europe. The EU Services Directive (EU-DLR) has established by administrative location a single point of contact designed to provide guidance to service providers from all 27 EU countries.

Currently, for the Ortenau district, the Chambers of Commerce act as the single point of contact:

Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Southern Upper Rhine

Susanne Oser
Tel.: 00 49 (0)7821 / 27 03-670
Fax: 00 49 / (0)7821 / 27 03 -46 70
Email: susanne.oser@freiburg.ihk.de

Freiburg Chamber of Commerce

Matthias Zipfel
Tel.: 00 49 (0)761 / 218 00-165
Fax: 0049 (0)761/ 218 00-151
Email: matthias.zipfel@hwk.freiburg.de

Electronic procedures for an approval process within the scope of the EU Services Directive can also be initiated directly via the 'service-bw' regional portal.

This ‘single point of contact’ is, however, simply an offer for service providers. Under the EU Directive, providers of services may continue to address matters to the competent departments of the city administration of Lahr, or to the internal ‘single point of contact’ within the city of Lahr listed below.

Department of Business Development

Lahr City Administration
Office of the Lord Mayor
Michael Voigt, Trade Promotion Officer
Rathausplatz 4
77933 Lahr

Tel.: 0049 (0)7821 / 910-01 18
Email: michael.voigt@lahr.de

Access to secure communication for the electronic processing of administrative procedures pursuant to the EU Services Directive (2006/123/EC) is available from the city of Lahr Virtual Postal Service (VPS).
