The Bärbel tour takes its name from a farm girl from Ottenheim. She was known as the beautiful and bad Bärbel. People were hugely jealous of her, she triggered a women’s uprising, and when one of the brothers at Lichtenberg castle in Alsace took her as his lover, the affair ended in a fatal fight between the two brothers.
