Rhine-Schutter Valley Cycle Route

The Rhine-Schutter Valley cycle route connects the Rhine valley with its floodplain forests and areas of natural paradise with typical farmhouses and valley landscapes of the foothills of the Black Forest.

The whole route is way-marked with a green bicycle on a white signpost. At junctions, the yellow Rhein-Schuttertal cycle route sign indicates the correct way to go.

Banks of the Rhine at Schwanau

From Schwanau via Lahr, Kuhbach, Reichenbach, Seelbach to Schuttertal Experienced cyclists can continue from the Dörlinbach district of the Schutter valley along the road and up to the Geisberg. Variant: On Sundays and public holidays, cyclists can use the SWEG Radbus (bike bus) which goes as far as the Geisberg (from April to October). The way back is all downhill!
