The city of Lahr is connected, via Lahr railway station, to the Deutsche Bahn AG rail network. There is a 30-minute connection to Offenburg and to Freiburg / Basel from Lahr. From the Offenburg ICE stop there are regular ICE connections to all areas of Germany. Moreover, in Offenburg there is a train connection to Strasbourg, the City of Europe, as well as a connection to Donaueschingen and to Lake Constance with the Black Forest line.
