Stoesser-Fischer house
An impressive middle-class residential and commercial house of the Strasbourg architect Johannes Menhardt from the late 18th century. Built on the bailey of the city wall, it reflects the rise of the commercial middle class of Lahr in the second half of the 18th century. The designer was the snuff producer Johann Jacob Hugo. In the middle of the 19th century, the building became the property of the Stoesser commercial family.
