Collegiate Church
Originating in the Monastery Church of 1259, the choir (especially the central choir window) and parts of the nave are still preserved in the original early Gothic style. Today’s tower originates from the year 1879. The Collegiate Church was originally the church associated with the monastery and became the City Church of Lahr in 1485-92. At the Collegiate Church the old cemetery with the middle-class graves from the 19th century and the memorial courtyard (key available in the deanery) with late Gothic and Baroque gravestones are well worth seeing.
